This project was an extension to an existing scheme of ‘affordable’ retirement bungalows run by North Kesteven District Council and consisted of 12 one and two-bedroom single storey dwellings.
This was a challenging project requiring integration into an existing development and maximising the amount of development on a small site, whilst avoiding an easement zone around an existing deep major sewer, which the cost of diversion would have proved prohibitive.
The development was well received by the clients and the existing and new residents alike and received the award for the ‘Best Social/Affordable New Development’ and the North Kesteven Awards.
