Designing a Better Future: Celebrating B Corp Month at Studio G

At Studio G, we believe that architecture is about more than the buildings we design, it is about enriching communities and designing a sustainable future.

This March, we are proud to celebrate B Corp Month, a time to reflect on what it means to be part of this global community of purpose-led businesses!

What is a B Corp?

B Corps are a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. It’s a certification that proves a company isn't just focused on profit, but also on its people, the community, and the planet.

Companies must go through a rigorous external assessment of their practices around 5 key pillars: governance, workers, community, environment and customers. As a client working with a B Corp, you can trust that you are working with a sustainable architects practice, operating to high, verified standards.

Based on the B Impact assessment, we earned an overall score of 92.3. The median score for ordinary businesses who complete the assessment is currently 50.9, and you need a score of 80 for B Corp Certification.

What makes Studio G different to other architect practices?

For our team of architects, based in Newark, Nottinghamshire, it’s a way to be transparent about our values and ensure we’re operating too high, verified standards across the business. It’s also a commitment to keep improving, as we are reassessed every three years to maintain the certification.

When you choose to work with a B Corp certified practice like Studio G, you are partnering with a purpose-driven team. Our staff are deeply engaged and care about their work and delivering meaningful outcomes.

We also have a dedicated Sustainability Team where employees from across Gusto Group come together to share ideas and work on projects together outside the day-to-day of their roles.

Looking Ahead

This B Corp Month, we invite you to think about the long-term impact of your next project. We are a client-centred architecture practice in Nottinghamshire that will work with you to bring your ideas to life.

Together, we can design spaces that are not only beautiful and functional but also better for the planet and the people who use them.
